Each reviewer. Famitsu has 4 reviewers for each game. Each one gives a score over 10, then they add all of them, and finally you have the final score over 40.

Nicely done Killzone: Mercenary. if a handheld shooter gets 34/40 from a Japanese magazine, it means is awesome, and it truly is.
