I already use some feature like that with PS3...
- The PSN updates happen
- I use the PC store to buy the games I want (or get the latest Plus updates)
- Put in PS3 download queue
- My Plus Automatic Updates are seted to run at mid of my work time
- PS3 wake up and download/install the games
- I got home and just start to play it
So it is useful.
