Regardless whether the vita sucks or not (and it does) the damn thing is still making lots of money for Sony. Just not as much as Nintendo 3ds is. Think about it, there are only 2 players in the handheld market so if you are #2 (aka last) you still make money. No one has beaten Nintendo in all the years handhelds have been around and Sony knows this so settling for 2nd place/making money is not a bad option.
