Can't believe that I didn't think of this before.  This has got to be the number one feature for gamers, but obviously not for console manufacturers. 

Supposedly too expensive.  They would have to have the (Xbox 360/PS3) in the system to be able to play the games for it, otherwise emulation would be very slow. PS2 emulation and PS1 emulation should be possible, but Xbox original emulation is not.  

What is stupid is that the XBOne and PS4 are supposed to be so powerful, why can't they write a simple emulation app that can run on these "powerhouse" systems.  It shouldn't bog them down, they just don't want to quit selling the PS360s yet.

its not just about power. the machines of both the 360 and PS3 are very complex (the ps3 even more so) they dont use the same technology what so ever so you have to think that these games were specifically made and desgined to use these complex technologies. so its really hard to just emulate that, its not about the power really. its about the games and how they were created for completely different hardware
