Iwata confirmed that the WiiU and 3DS will receive a true account system in the future, and that "future" is likely around september

its about time! welcome to 2006! and thats where the wiiu sits in my personal opinion. and that is not worth anything over $200 free online for no multiplatforms that i would play online to begin with. and 64 player maps wouldnt work well on a wiiu. plus my whopping $5 a month has already given me a shitload of games and continues to pay for itself with more to offer in the future. 

wiiu will be in the collection when its reasonable to buy a console for just nintendo games that makes it worth purchasing at all. hell if nintendo wanted $5 a month and gave me a free game every month i would be very open to that, but at this point? they would run out of games in the first year unless they included old titles.
