On a serious note, I see that Nintendo is leading again and the others follow. To put things in perspective both Sony and MS realised the enhanced experience a second screen give and are adding it to theor respective consoles.

Sony uses the PSV

MS uses any tablet with Smartglass.

In effect I have to give credit to both Sony and MS for maximasing their resources. Nintendo could have done what Sony did with the 3DS. Microsoft is convincing the world to use any other tablet/mobile device already owned (supposing that one already has one). The marketing is ace.

What Nintendo basis their strategy on is that they offer the second screen experience as a package. You do not have to have a 3DS (or PSV) or even own a tablet/mobile device to have the enhanced gaming experience.

I read so many posts from non-Nintendo fans and I think their views are so unfair. The Gamepad comes as a standard add on to the WiiU, is of appropriate size to enable a comfortable grip for a standard Caucasian male, is not heavy enough to tire you even after hours of playing, has 2 analogue sticks, 2 trigger buttons, can control the TV, offers effortless offline play, has an integrated camera for videochat, has a volume source of its own,  renders Internet to your TV screen (no  HDMI cables required), has a browser quicker than IE, Firefox and Chrome , and a touch screen that empowers the user by not stopping the action every other minute.

Please try and see its use on the W101 and then comment.

It is of course Nintendo's fault that failed to communicate all the above to the public. Let's face it the journos are paid off and are anti-Nintendo no matter what. It is up to them to put stands everywhere and offer the public the experience. It is alos up to them (and not 3rd parties) to showcase what can be done with the Gamepad. After all it was their idea in the firts place...!
