Considering their failure on Greenlight, I'd guess the PC and iOS versions of Mudds didn't sell too well compared to the 3DS version, so it's definitely possible that Renegade Kid is looking to Sony platforms in place of mobile devices. They could very easily become an eShop/PSN/PC multiplat developer.

The problem with Greenlight is it's very nature, that people have to vote for it enough to make it onto Steam, and it can be hard for some smaller developers to garner the votes they need to be accepted.
