For a 14 day worldwide outage, when people are paying. Yes of course its going to be news.
"Unexpected Demand" is no excuse when you manufacture the units, they KNOW how many units they produced, they KNOW how many people signed up for the service.
To be that bad planning is unforgivable, especially when you are paying for the service.
Also the PS3 outsold the 360 over Christmas worldwide this year, and had no such outage.
Not bad for a "lesser", free service.
