There will always be a market for those dedicated devices, but it'll never see the heights of the last portable gen |
U do know that last gen was the biggest ever for the dedicated handheld.. (ds+psp) and that 3ds have sold more than the ds in the same time..The smartphone/tablet market has put mobilgames in the hands of billions.. but that don't have to be bad for a dedicated handheld.. some might see it as.. free comercials for the many people not used to playng games..
Look a litle futher.. And this is not bad for nintendo or sony.. they have the best games.. And i'm pretty sure that nintendo are thinking on the next handheld gen.. what should they do.. should they try to sell +100 million consoles (spend money and take the risk that is) or should they just go multi to a Billion casuals.. (and mayby make a android smartphone with bottons)
Billions of new gamers can't in any way be bad for nintendo or sony..
