Around 10 hours, yes. They say the HD collection was kinda buggy, so, I don´t know, but 2 and 3 are great games.

Poll says SH 2 is the best. But wouldn't it be weird to skip SH 1 and just play SH 2? Would I miss interesting story line and stuff?

For sure, it costs 5 dollars on PSN, you really should play it. I finished around 7 times back in the day, still my favorite PSONE game.
