Buy whatever that feels more appealing to you, don't listen to all these fanboys. I plan on getting all the consoles eventually because I'm a gamer that just loves what each system has to offer.
The X1 will be used for all my multi-player as well as single-player needs, exclusive and multi-platform wise. Ex: Destiny, Titanfall, Ryse, Gears of War, Left 4 Dead, Halo, Forza, Crackdown, Fable, Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy 15, Dead Rising 3, etc. (Yeah I could buy some of these games on PC, but the majority of friends are on console. Plus, split-screen multiplayer ftw.)
Now that Sony requires to pay for multi-player (which I find weird, because people don't normally play enough multi-player games on PS3 as opposed to their large amount of single-player games), the PS4 will serve as my PS exclusive single-player console. Ex: Infamous, God of War, The Last of Us, Uncharted, Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, etc.
Then comes the Wii U, for its Nintendo exclusives~ Ex: Super Mario World 3D, Pikmin 3, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8, Mario Party, Wii Party, Sonic: Lost Worlds, etc.
