because we need a brand new 400$ system, and pay 50$ a year for online, and 15$ monthly to be able to play this. that's WAY too much money

still, why should i pay 15$ bucks a month/180 bucks a year for a game i bough for 60$ damn dollars? money doesn't grow on trees

Because MMO's are vastly bigger than traditional games, and have a continuous stream of content added to them. That $180 would likely give you a awful lot more play time that buying four brand new games.
