Nonesence... Look in the iOS and Android app store and you will see lots of quality titles priced at 2.99 - 9.99 that aren't free to play model and are on par with 3DS or PSVita games.

Those aren't the games that are raking in all the money though are they? Taking a quick look on the top 10 paid games on Google Play right now versus the top 10 most grossing, the only game that appears in the top grossing list from the actual top 10 is Minecraft (at number 8). The other 9 highest grossers are all free to play, and they're topped out by Candy Crush Saga with its nefarious pay to win bullshit.
