They are probably swamped, they make a lot of mistakes!
I regularly hunt for PS3 newsbits and instead constantly find articles and postings titled "Goodbye X360 you have had your nine lives - hello PS3" or "I'm done with Xbox 360..." (both posted today)
I don't think most kids would switch to the PS3 in a heartbeat due to investments into the platform and additional investments required for a PS3. I do however think all these screw-ups will hurt a successor console.
