I'm actually fine with Nintendogs.  It's obviously different than most games, but for what it was, it was done very well.  Haven't played XIII-2 so I can't say if that deserves it or not.

Played both. Neither game deserves those scores. Anyway, Famitsu reviews should be taken with a grain of salt.

They rate major/highly anticipated titles higher, just because. And their scores (as of late) seem to range from 8-10 (all round).. unless its really fucking bad, then its 7's and under.
