Is this a fair assessment FFXII was well reviewed and to a console base of 120 million the largest you will find on a PS2 for a FF game sold roughly 5 million or about to 4% of the owners of the PS2 by analogy and assuming the PS3 has 15 million in sells by March of 2008 which I think is quite generous FFXIII would sell around 600-700k copies assuming you had the same type of user base as the PS2 and that lets say the 700k were all new users because I don't know the people that have a PS3 now aren't the ones that are the most likely buyers of the game in the first place that still doesn't give the PS3 a huge leap 700k sells is still below what the Wii does a month. I don't think this should be considered an attack on the PS3 just a reality of the moment in all actuality I think the early adopters will all mostly pick up this game giving it sells much closer to 4-5 million but if they are the primary people picking up this game it doesn't leave much room for the new adopters that would boost hardware sells.
