Not everyone is going to preorder with the lack of info on release date. Unless ms cant meet demand already its in their best interest to tell people now when their console will release to snag those preorders. Get the news out. Get people out to get theirs as soon as possible. Going "oh btw... the x1 is in stores now. Go pick yours up today" and someone goes to buy one and finds out there is none. But maybe that person at gamestop will do their job and suggest a ps4 or wii u

preorders will be sold out anyways.... and apparently that's what you are saying too.... so no matter what if A gets it and B wants it their will still be only X amount to pre order... if it caps out it caps out no matter what.. it's a finit number.... and marketing for the XB won't start the day of launch.... but by the time novembre will get close you will have so much ad for VG (PS and XB) that unless you live in a tribe in amazonia... you will know
