Ever been kicked out of a lobby in COD or see that host migration prompt? That means the host left the server. Dedicated servers do not have this issue and the only time someone has an advantage is if they have a better internet connection. This time everyone is on a level playing field and if you're ping isn't as good as others it is your fault. COD:Ghosts on Xbox using dedicated servers is huge. |
The servers will be dedicated everywhere...don't fall for the hype bro. PC/XB1/PS4. All of them will have it. Its just exclusivity marketing and eventually it gets debunked. I fell for it when I first got my 360 too.

Microsoft is providing the dedicated servers. Don't jump to conclusions just yet since Sony has made no announcements of doing anything similar yet. In fact, Sony has been pretty quiet on most of their online features and capabilities so maybe they will finally shed some light on things like Gaikai and dedicated servers and cloud or whatnot.
