Dedicated servers mean that they aren't player hosted. P2P servers select the player with the best connection and ping off him therefore giving that person an advantage. Ever been kicked out of a lobby in COD or see that host migration prompt? That means the host left the server. Dedicated servers do not have this issue and the only time someone has an advantage is if they have a better internet connection. This time everyone is on a level playing field and if you're ping isn't as good as others it is your fault.
COD:Ghosts on Xbox using dedicated servers is huge. |
The servers will be dedicated everywhere...don't fall for the hype bro. PC/XB1/PS4. All of them will have it. Its just exclusivity marketing and eventually it gets debunked. I fell for it when I first got my 360 too.

Guess we'll have to wait for Sony or Activision to confirm but I wouldn't get my hopes to high if I were you.
