Didnt even read the comments so im probably repeating most people.

3rd party support and a bigger fanbase.

Roughly 80% of the games sold on the Ps3 has been 3rd party. People want to act like 1st party is important and they are because they are differences in the competitors. But 3rd party support will be bigger from a software point for numerous reason.

If you are soley going to rely on 1st party games then you would need a steady flow which sony is not capable of.

Also remember the high price point compared to competition and that Nintendo is much more popular in the handheld market than sony.  PSP didnt help Sony's reputation much in major territories like Europe and America.

What are you talking about? Sony has the steadiest flow of first party ouf of all the companies has its been so for like four years now. The problem is are those titles big? If thats what you're hung up on theres the problem. Some are big others are new IP's that need time to grow. Hopefully this gen as Sony has a higher chance of amassing a larger marketshare since they are launching with Microsoft instead of behind them they will be conscious of all crowd applicable to them. Out of all the companies they have the natural door open to them for audiences. They have Japan where Microsoft cant touch them and they have the third parties and higher rate of new IP's where Nintendo cannot touch them. The problem is they are spread so thin (which they said they would rectify this coming gen) so they can focus giving proper marketing and development time to certain prefered titles. This leads me to believe that much like Microsoft for Sony money will talk, but it wont stop them from making more full blown titles either.

Oh boy lol  I was talking about the Vita's/PSP's First party games not their home consoles ;)
