Good timing with this thread.. FINALLY got caught up with this show after nearly a year, and WOW, just awesome.. Gets more intense and entertainment the farther it goes. While I'm somewhat happy I've caught up as now I won't have to worry about spoilers, it's gonna be tough for me to wait until Sunday to find out what happens next, and another 7-8 weeks after THAT to reach the conclusion, which I'm sure won't dissapoint.. In the meamtime, I'll discuss what I hope to happen, and what I think WILL happen..

(*SPOILERS*)

I'm pretty torn on whether I want Walt to succeed or not. On the one hand, he's suffered through hell to get to where he is, and used a great deal of cunning and intelligence to do so, so it would be a bummer, and I'd even go as far to say as (ironically) unjust if it all just collapsed around him.. But at the same time, he has also put others through hell, and been quite reckless, and even downright heartless at times too, having people killed without hesitation, and trying to poison a child for instance. I suppose what I would like to see is for him to get away clean, but to lose his meth "empire," in the process. He needs to be penalized in some way. I just don't think that way should include the taking of his life, as the cancer will achieve that anyway.

And actually, this seems to be what will transpire, judging from the brief snippets of Walt with a whole new look, long beard, new glasses, hair grown out, etc.. He is seemingly in refuge, taken on a new identity, likely in the witness protection program. And this to me would be a satisfying ending, as it would be both a win AND a loss for him. While he would get away and get to live, he would have lost everything in the process; his wife, his kids, his money, his empire, and his identity. So that is my prediction to what happens to Walt, if those brief scenes are to be taken seriously.

As for Jesse, I see him as somewhat of a softie; a weak link. He has shown his sensitive side before, and will do so again. Looks to me like he will cave in and give himself up, as well as Walt. I think this will ultimately be Walt's undoing, and will prove a good irony.. Jesse; the man that essentially got him started and helped him claw his way to the top has now ruined him.

Many of the supporting cast, I feel is going to have to suffer in some way as well, either because of Walt, or just because of their own greed or incompetence. Hank, Saul, Lydia, and Skyler in particular are going to fall on hard times of their own, and there may even be a death or two between these three. They all have much on the line here..
