I just watched again, ok she tried to push him off of her friend not just stand in between. A guy held her friend back so the cop could continue the arrest after she got punched and was rest pressed against the car. Back to my point...why couldn't the cop just completely restrained her and just handcuffed her?

I guess this argument all comes down to values, I dont believe a man should hit a woman. When I say this I am speaking primarily on offensive force, not primarily defense. If it comes down to it and a man is forced to them whatever happens, happens.

And those women you claim can whip my ass, I do not hang out around particularily aggressive females. If a woman attacked me I am confident in my ability to restrain a person. Im athletic, 191 lbs and have been in fights before, yet I do not like to fight all together. Yes..I am very protective of women. I would rather court a woman than fight her.

It seems like you take offense at the claim there are women out there who could kick your ass.   The mere fact that you have to feel the need to state your weight and that you are "atheletic" more or less shows that.  That along with the menatlity above more or less makes the point for me.

You think you could restrain a trained woman UFC fighter?  Or is your arguement that you wouldn't ever hang around a trained UFC fighter... I mean if so... that's just sad.

As for why he couldn't just restrain her... watch the video again.  If he just tries to restrain her, and she's able to fight him.  Nothing is stopping the other woman from stepping right up to her again.

The punch more or less insured he could secure her without worry of further resistance.  I'm not sure it's the best way to handle it... but it's not out of line.

Sorry for taking so long, I had to run a quick errand.

I do not take offense to hearing that a woman can beat me up, I am saying I believe I am prepared to take anyone who comes at me and threatens my life. If I've only fought men in my life and if a woman came at me should I not be able to have faith in myself to restain her the same way I have men larger than myself? Will I fall? Even the best man or woman does. I just so happen to have an affinity for a woman, and yes...I am very protective of them. The thought of fighting a woman is my last thought, which is why I said if my life is on the line then protect yourself against one by any means necessary. I am looking at things in terms of the way I was raised (by women) and biology.

Secondly, I stated that the cop was probably right for pursuing the woman, I am just worried about the way he handled it, not his cause for the arrest.

As for the situation where you spoke to me about female fighters, yes I probably could get submitted or even punched by a female MMA fighter. As I said before, I am in talks to join up with a Damian Maia affiliated Jiu Jitsu school. I've met quite a few who have challenged me to sparring sessions but I've turned them down in jiu Jitsu. I admit it, I turned them down because I dont want to get too aggressive with them.

Again, I think our argument is coming down to values and the extent of police force. In this instance we agree to disagree.  Regardless I have overall respect for you, despite the disagreement.

Which is fine... except your whole attitude and values are sexist

If that's how you feel and you don't see a problem with it.  Just embrace it.

Me,  I don't care... gender is irrelevent all that matters is relative strengths....

and when it comes to sparring?  Holy fuck, I mean I know you think your being all respective and protective and shit but in reality there is nothing more disrespetful and insulting.

I mean shit, we're talking about a woman who has trained to fight and who has quite a bit of self esteem and interest built in fighting and you are essentially saying you don't respect her as a fighter and don't think she's worth it, because she's a woman.

You may as well be Master Fnog from Futurama.

Leela: When I was growing up at the orphanarium, I got picked on a lot.

[Flashback. A teenage Leela and some teenage boys are dressed in martial arts uniforms.]

Leela: [voice-over] My only outlet was Arcturan Kung Fu.

[Teenage Leela takes on two guys and floors them. Her teacher, a green alien called Fnog watches.]

Fnog: Excellent. Bill, Keith, you will go to Junior Championships. Bill, congratulate Keith when he regains consciousness.

Leela: But, Master Fnog, I can beat these dorks with one eye closed.

Fnog: Perhaps. But there is more to winning than beating your opponent. You lack the will of the warrior.

Leela: What do you mean? Watch this!

[She kicks Bill in the stomach.]

Bill: [crying] Ow!

Fnog: No girl has the will of a warrior. You have the will of a housewife or, at best, the schoolmarm.

Leela: That's it. I'll take you on right now.

Fnog: Very well. But, you see, I have the will of the warrior. Therefore, the battle is already over. The winner? Me! [He laughs.] Rematch? You lose again! Had enough? I thought so!

[He and the other guys laugh.]

At the end of the day, if your willing to spar with a guy that will give you an equal or lesser challenge then a woman who you aren't willing to spar with because she's a woman...  That's sexist plane and simple.
