As a side-note, I personally remain convinced that VGC has this game heavily undertracked. It's over 4m for sure. Nintendo revealed sales (okay, shipments) of 3.42m as of December 2011, a mere month after release. VGC already had it almost a million under that number at that time, there's just no way it only sold 3.68m now after all this time, nearly two years later. If only Nintendo had revealed new numbers in their latest reports...
And I agree, Skyward Sword was more than deserving of reaching Wind Waker area sales, more-so than Wind Waker itself actually if I had to choose... Well... actually, if I could choose, all of them would have sold over 10m
