ACE: I'm pretty sure having depth is what SR is trying to shy away from. That's what a lot of people think "doomed" GTAIV because they focused a little too much on a deep story.

SR goes for the throat with it's outlandish action and silliness. It may have been a clone before but after SR3 every major gaming site agreed it was it's own game now.

I'm actually said they're going to take a break from SR for a while to reevaluate what they're going to do with the franchise. I liked what they were doing with it and I don't want it to change.

No game should ever shy away from depth, depth is what keeps people coming back to their franchise leading to maintained or better sales. Depth isn't just about storyline, it has to do with the whole perspective of the game, it has to do with the formula and what drives your game to be what it is. SR is a pick up and play fun style of game. GTA is a pick up and play fun style of game and soooooo much more. That's what I mean by depth. GTA4 was considered a hickup and it still got played and loved by over 20 million people and is still played by millions due to its depth.

I've always enjoyed playing SR 1 and 2, they were just so much fun. It was fun doing all the activities and helping random mom's deliver drugs, lol. I know its a whack game franchise and now has its own identity and will eventually get to SR3 and 4, but GTA is just legendary.
