gameplay is way too assisted/automated. I know it's done to drive the story, but this is overkill and borderline interactive movie.

Why is interactive movie a bad thing?  Adding interactivity to movies adds some great opportunities for unique storytelling.

Because I paid $70 for it. I can't justify that cost when all it requires me to do is push a button to turn the page.

Have you played Heavy Rain?  Because I'd assume you haven't.  Very creative use of the controller to draw you into the experience.  Multiple endings depending on your actions as well.  If you just keep mashing X you'll be staring at the first screen for quite a while.  I'm assuming more of the same here.

I haven't played it, but I've watched the gameplay interactive movie on youtube. Again, I can't justify $70 where I am required to turn pages all game long.

Take the Last of Us for example. It has cinematic style of combat, yet the player is still in full control while the story develops. This is the direction games need to be going.

Btw, you're taking the push button to proceed too literal. I understand there's some walking to do before the sequences begin.

huh? You clearly have no clue what you are talking about... Heavy Rain was one of the best gaming experiences I've had this gen or any gen... I never felt like I wasn't fully in control. Actually, the cool part about Heavy Rain, every decision I made I felt like I had full control over the outcome... If a character died, the story moved forward... It was so refreshing.. The gameplay was very much existent, and you clearly have never played it otherwise you woudln't make such ignorant comments..
