Forget Plasma. Horrible burn in and the cost more to run. These 120Hz and 240Hz can actually induce lag input in your games. Games are either 30Hz or 60 , so these 120Hz Tv can cause the game to drop frames and "lag", unless your using 3D which essentially makes it 60Hz for each eye. . LED or LCD is the way to go, Sony , Panasonic or Samsung.

Current plasmas don't have burn in, only image retention(which LCD TVs also have), and it only happens if you put a static image running on your TV for lots and lots of hours. They also have settings to lessen the chance of image retention happening, so it's not a thing to worry about. About them "costing more to run", if you're talking about power usage, current plasmas dropped power usage tremendously and are at LCD(CCFL, not LED) levels. Of course, they consume more than LED, but that difference is likely to cost you only a few dollars per year, so I also believe you shouldn't worry about that.
