Is it safe to call Microsoft the copycats of next gen?

As for the industry.  It is built around taking(Copying or pushing depending on how you look at them) ideas and improving on them

How are those innovations? I have yet to see anything either Sony or MS are doing which could be considered "innovating". Upgrading pre-existing and well established technologies would be a better way of putting the next gen :P
