Takes you to the list of apps(programs) on the tile screen (whatever they call that).

There's good 3rd party programs you can download to bring back a proper start button/menu though.  Most people will continue to use that instead of this half-ass return of a Start button.

Not quite.  That's the home screen.  This would be the search screen (activated by swiping in from the right side and selecting Search) which lists all 'apps' or programs on the PC instead of the live tablet things on the home screen.
