Thinking about getting the PS Vita? Now may be your chance, as Target is set to cut the price of the Vita to $200 in the US for a limited time.

The regular Vita is usually $249, and the 3G Vita is usually $299, but they’re both being dropped to $200. Now here’s the one reason you might want to hold off – the in-store promotion runs from August 18th to August 24th, so you might as well wait until Sony’s August 20th gamescom press conference to see if the company officially cuts the price across the board. (Or announces the PS4/Vita bundle)

Target will have their PS Vita systems on sale for $199.99 starting on Sunday. It doesn’t say it’s excluded, so when The Walking Dead 3g/Wi-FI Bundle goes on sale Tuesday, it should be available for that $199.99, though it’s worth giving them a call when the deal starts to make sure.

Also at KMart, their flyer is advertising the 12gb PS3 for $199.99, which will go on sale this Sunday.

Originally Sony commented: The smaller Flash drive isn't coming to North America, and a lot of that reason is the digital consumer. We really want to make sure, out of the box, that there is an option for them to be able to download that content. That is really critical for us, very very important.

They lied :/
