MS planned to make XB one the entertainment box of your living room so you dont need multiple boxes, sony's idea goes one better but none of you see that, all you see is a few cable channels and instantly go against it, with the ps3 sony had blu-ray while MS had to go with streaming HD movies as HD-DVD sank quicker than titanic, lot of you liked/prefered the idea for streaming services so ill ask again why do you dislike what sony is doing with internet TV!.

MS already does this on the 360. For certain cable companies they have apps on the 360 (verizon fios, time warner cable, xfinity, hbo go, show time, syfy, etc) for those you dont need a cable box at all, just interenet, and to provide your subsrcition info. Sony is still playing catch up to the 360 in the space. Look into it. The 360 is already a great media center, with out the need for a cable box. The xbox one will expand upon that, and allow for access to the cable box on top of what it already does. Sony has a ways to go to catch up in that area. Not to mention the lack of voice controls, the best part. None them need a cable attached to your xbxox 360. only proof of a subcrition to their service. Too be honest after looking at their partners, they have way more content than even I knew about.
