Not all of us have a raging hard-on for the FF franchise. IX was the last one I enjoyed.

Besides, it's still a year away. Right now, the 360 unquestionably has the best RPG lineup out of the three consoles. ES, LO, BD, ME, Oblivion, etc.

Anyway, I agree with you completely on FF rocketpig. IX was the only good 3D FF game period, and the series has sucked since it went 3D other than IX.

Personally, I prefer the PS3's future JRPG list to the 360's current JRPG list, but that's because of Valkyrie of the Battlefield and White Knight Story. Not because of Square's shitty FF games.

Well personally I prefer the future future FUTURE 360 RPG's (yep, 3 futures!!) to the future PS3 RPG's (only 1 future) ...

 


Yes, I'm judging games before they come out. I'm judging that FFXIII will probably suck based on my experience with other recent FF games. I'm judging that White Knight Story will rock because of my experience with Level 5 games.

I compared the PS3's future JRPG list to the 360's current JRPG list because the 360 only has 1 future JRPG officially announced. Infinite Undiscovery, which should also be awesome, because it's made by Tri-Ace, the guys who make Star Ocean.

And if you really complain about judging games on future potential your simply a hypocrit. Everyone does. Millions of people look at Brawl and say it's going to rock. Millions (including yourself) said the same about Mass Effect, Halo 3, Bioshock, and other big games, and millions actually buy systems on the hopes that these games will be great, and better than other current and future games on other systems.

So yes, I'm saying from what I know right now, I think I'll prefer a few games that aren't out to a few games that are out, and I'm using that to form an opinion on the quality of a game library.  Microsoft clearly has no problems telling you Fable 2 will be one of the best RPGs, because they are including information about it in a disc called "The best RPGs are on Xbox 360," and yet you didn't seem to complain about that...
