Nevermind ... I vanquished the little guy. Turns out he's not so touch after all. The method that seemed logical as prescribed by the game was actually not the best method to 'beat' it (unless you're level 100 or something). It's more of a run away tactic.

Wait, you're not supposed to be able to kill the red dragon? I did, and I was at level 28.

Well ... the second set of bosses in the "B" option like the Red Dragon and the Wraith can be defeated in two ways. You either kill them or you survive long enough for the 'opt out' condition to occur. The great majority of times the people I played with went for the latter. With the dragon you have to enter the door on the right and it occurs in a chase scene of sorts that is broken up into segments, and at the end it falls of the bridge, but 'defeating' it this way won't net you the talisman to go forward. It was virtually impossible for us to beat it this way given the limited time in the chase segments. I did beat it on my own in the small room where we initially found it. It was fairly easy for me there - albeit lengthy.
