The substantivity was not solely monetarily. You think people will not buy a console due to principle? This isn't a movie, this is the real world. If consumers want something, they will buy it regardless if it goes against their principles. I still think there is no reason to pay for online if it's p2p, that's why dedicated servers for XBO and PS4 are VITAL. XBO will have the advantage here with a solid foundation for providing a dedicated experience if the devs want it. It's funny that you argue that people won't know about the paywall going in, but if I asked if you knew about the XBL paywall going into purchasing a 360 I think you'd be singing a different tune. Just classic hypocrisy. I'm used to it here. |
Like I said, they will have to chose between principle and games....and games will win out. But by no means will the transition be like the snap of a finger. That was my point.
Your 360 line is a bit confusing, because I allready said that a Xbox gamer is used to the idea, but to a PS gamer the idea is still in the process of being embraced.
Its less hypocrisy and more of a cultural difference between Xbox and PS gamers, IMO.
