Yeah I get that they're spare codes for games they already have (or in this case origin codes when they've already used the steam ones), it just seems a bit iffy to me that someone would use these codes rather than pay a pittance to charity. Just to clarify, this is more a criticism of the people using the codes  than the people giving them.

I take on board your hypothetical situation of someone not having the money to buy the bundle, and it would be fair enough if they use the codes I suppose, but given that these codes are on a public forum it would have to be a pretty big coincidence that the person who uses them is also someone who couldn't afford the 5 dollars (or as little as one dollar if they don't want to pay above the average and get the 2 bonus games).  On the other hand the person who can't be bothered entering their credit card number to set up an amazon or paypal account but can be bothered setting up an origin account can fuck right off.

It just feels like the net affect of this well intentioned thread will be charities losing money.

Well. The Charities via Humble Bundle are doing anything BUT loosing money. Expect Millions of bundles sold in the next few weeks with the majority going straight to charity.
Heck, it's been 15 hours and 657,000 bundles have already been bought up by people.

I do get your point, but the few people that are giving codes away here is going to be a massively insignificant amount in the grand scheme of things by the weeks end.

Sure, I get that a couple of extra bundles sold isn't going to make a huge difference to the total, it just seems a bit morally dubious to me to use one of these codes that you haven't paid for
