That is a definite possibility but there's been no rumours of Sony having yield problems, the preorders are outstripping the X1 and Sony have encouraged sites like Amazon to continue taking preorders even when the stock was said to have gone. That sounds confident to me.

I don't think the person on Twitter complained about region lock, he complained about not being able to buy DLC.

About DLC,it just same for 360 or even PS3-of course you can't get any DLC if your country not supported,but you can always create a US account or use region change system
