The teleportation stuff also, isn't really that difficult. if event == x then vector + vectordirection = vector. Something like that, then it redraws with the new in the same way that it would redraw if I was just walking. It's probably a little bit slower, but nothing that couldn't happen on current gen. |
We saw the footage of the PS3 gameplay and it was nowhere to scale of the PS4 footage. The PS3 gameplay showed battles in small battle spaces, nothing to what the PS4 version is showing. Also with being able to teleport all over the place you need a large field of view, which if it was on current gen I think there would just be fog everywhere and that would break the game. Also the screen tearing would be a problem. I just don't think the game we saw at e3 can run on current gen consoles.
