Just for fun, I made my own character roster for this concept. I aimed for it to be plausible enough, but there's clearly a few choices that keep it from being the most likely one. It consists of 30 characters (27 were created for Tatsunoko VS Capcom), with 10 male ones and 5 females on each side.
Shonen Jump side: Goku (Dragon Ball), Luffy (One Piece), Naruto (Naruto), Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin), Kenshiro (Hokuto no Ken/Fist of North Star), Seiya (Saint Seiya), Yusuke (Yu Yu Hakusho), Ichigo (Bleach), Dark Schneider (Bastard !!), Kinnikuman (Kinnikuman), Android #18 (Dragon Ball), Nami (One Piece), Tsunade (Naruto), Misao (Rurouni Kenshin), Rukia (Bleach).
Capcom side: Ryu (Street Fighter), Strider (Strider), X (Mega Man X), Dante (Devil May Cry), M.Bison (Street Fighter), Mike Haggar (Final Fight), Hayato (Star Gladiator), Captain Commando (Captain Commando), Firebrand (Ghosts 'n Goblins), Asura (Asura's Wrath), Chun-Li (Street Fighter), Cammy (Street Fighter), Morrigan (Darkstalkers), Ibuki (Street Fighter), Tessa (War-Zard/Red Earth).
