I dont see a reason why anyone would fork over $300 for something that they can easily do on a laptop lol. That is unless it has its own exclusive games....does it? |
You can take a shit in a bucket but you still have a toilet in the house... Phone gaming blows due to lack of buttons and battery that drains quicker than cinematic sequence in a Metal Gear solid game. This thing rapes gaming on a phone in terms of everything...and good luck carrying your 1000 dollar laptop around everywhere and an Xbox controller to get a simillar experience.
Not picking on you specifically but some of you guys whine too much. Price is relative and look around how much a similarly spec'd Android phone costs...500-600 bucks. Yes you can get those on contract and pay 200 but still, if I was a gamer looking to buy a smartphone and play games on the go, I'd rather game on this Shield and have a cheaper smartphone and not pay the carrier $10 per month permium for subsidizing a phone.
What about something like an iTouch which this competes with as well? That thing is 200 bucks for half the memory and features and much worse specs.
And this exclusive talk...jesus christ. Do you people only play exclusives on consoles? If so this is the exclusive device that is able to play the best versions of Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite out of your bed or on the shitter. Bam!
Just take the device for what it is...a cool, well built premium priced gaming handheld that has some unique gaming features and does many other things beyond the gaming spectrum which may appeal to people who are not cash strapped and like cool gaming gadgets.
Would you rather this device doesn't exist? Choice isn't in anymore?
