I just want the Vita to do better than it is doing right now. It doesn't need to do better than the 3DS.
It needs a higher level of weekly sales to get to healthy installed base, so 3rd party studios will actually bother to support it.
It's pretty obvious that Sony is lacking the resources to support it on their own. They would either have to build new studios or buy out existing ones and that's just a very risky business proposal for a company that is not particularly healthy right now.
I love my Vita and I hope it'll succeed in the long run.
