So you're asking why someone would want the Wii to sell well when the first party was a lock anyway?

Simple; because positive sales encouraged Nintendo to keep doing what it was doing instead of changing tactics.

but they didnt keep doing what they were doing, WIi kinda got cut a bit short. and what they are doing with Wii u is a bit different. so they did change tactics

They're continuing their approach of ressurrected 2D platforming, and games well balanced between accessibility and core appeal, Wii era values that have continued because they were commerciall successful in the 7th gen.

i disagree, Wii was mostly a blue ocean machine, the wii u isnt, they are trying to target both demographics, if it was really continuing what Wii was doing, why has it not had the same sucess as Wii did?
