I'll try to update this throughout the year.  With Judement having a bigger launch neither seems to be having great legs.  God of War Ascesnion does pull out in front.  Both seems to be a bit of a disappointement and unless they get bundled this holiday it likely won't get much more exciting than this.  Taking Two months for them to sell 10-20K

Gears of War Judgement - 1.24m

God of War Ascension - 1.28m

Two months for them to sell 10-20K?

According to Vgchartz, during June + July GoW:A had impressive legs selling 130K & GeoW:J sold 50K.

Both games pretty much equaled each other at launch when you consider that according to NPD GoW:A was under-tracked by 50K 1st month and that the GoW series is notoriously hard to track (i.e. partly why GoW3 is still under by 1m+) because it's very popular in emerging markets like Brazil, Mexico, India & Russia which aren't tracked so it could be even bigger than we think, it could even have hit 1.5m+ by now.

Going by Vghchartz estimates though, I think GoW:A will reach 1.75m by the end of the year & GeoW:J will reach 1.45m.

I don't believe either will have any bundles to give them a huge boost, although that special edition red PS3 GoW bundle (if it's still being produced?) might be on offer during Black Friday which will boost GoW:A & GoW Saga hugely. Next year Sony should release a budget dual-pack with GoW3 & GoW:A which will give both games a decent boost.  I don't see what can be done to boost GeoW:J, there's many more people playing GeoW3 MP instead and last month GeoW3 almost sold as much as GeoW:J, its legs will be dead starting next year, oh well at least it'll pass a decent 1.5m lifetime.

I don't expect this thread to be updated for a long time lol, don't see things getting more exciting until Black Friday or the Holidays. It would be great if GoW:A could hit 2m by the end of the year (unlikely) and sell over 2.7m lifetime (likely) which is enough to top DMC4 on PS360 thus the top 5 (6 including the GoW collection) bestselling hack 'n slash games will all be GoW's. :)

Time to say a long goodbye to this thread, hopefully things are more interesting when I check back in a few months.
