No...Sony has proven after 2 failed attempts to overthrow Nintendo from it's throne as handheld gaming king that it does not understand that market!!! They should just drop the Vita and start developing handheld games on Nintendo's system. The Vita in a way has performed much worse than it's predecessor. Just my opinion, Sony should drop out off the handheld biz and concentrate on home consoles.

When you change just a few words it shows just how silly your statment trully is.

For the record Nintendo is a company who has actually discontinued a console after only 5 months on the market, as many people praise Nintendo for their success with the nes/snes and Wii, no body ever brings up their biggest mistake, the Virtual boy, but hey revisionist history is awesome.

In this regard, Sony has yet to premaurly axe a console. In fact Sony has proven to be rather stuborn at times, such as keeping Beta max, Mini Disc, and Memory stick alive allot longer than perhaps they should off, well memory stick still alive. In any case this is good for consumers because Sony at the very least tries to support their product for as long as possible....ever hear from Sony themselves about the 10 year life span for the PS2 and PS3?

Look I do not see either Nintnedo axing the WiiU nor Sony the PSvita, as long as they make money from both hardware and software, they'll continue selling them and trying to increase revenue. So to say that Sony should axe the PSvita is pretty silly in my opinion.
