Yeah, it would have been better if we could have seen the head tracking from the first person perspective. It looks a little clumsy, but it's hard to tell if that's just because we're getting a look at it from the side or if it's actually clumsy. The guy also didn't seem to test depth perception at all, which would have been nice to see.

You put on a headband or pair of glasses with two or more infrared LEDs, then place a 2nd wiimote in a stand pointed at your head. You could do it by strapping a single wiimote (no need for two) to your head, but it would be more massive than LEDs and therefore more awkward.
