April is right after the fiscal year ends, so MS could wait until then for "the big announcement."
April is the month GTA4 comes out, so a coincidental price drop would help push sales.
The PS3 is outselling the X360 in Europe since the PS3's price drop. It only seems appropriate for the X360 to drop its price -soon- before PS3 momentum takes over.
There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.
