LOL, there is some bias here. Pokemon developers are amongst the worst offenders of spewing out the same shit time and time again. X and Y is the only iteration that looks to have any effort put in, and even then they're still cutting themselves short of what could eaily be achieved on the platform.
And still this time next year we'll looking at pokemon Z which is more reductive then any COD sequel. Pokemon X and Y is really the kind of pokemon game we should have been seeing 6 ago, but Gamefreak obviously treat the franchise with no ambition at all and instead have been rolling out changes at the most insulting pace. They announce that you can now jump up onto platforms as well as down from them and fans go apeshit, such innovation.
Both COD and pokemon follow the line of if it ain't broken don't fix it which is fine, but no need for the double standards. COD is more annoying because its an FPS, you guys don't have to pretend that your not somewhat bias... Its also a huge deal every year, every E3, every holiday and so is more irkesome, but lets not put Pokemon on a pedestal it doesn't deserve.
