Ordered NLKS for 22 dollareedoos. I heard a lot of slowdown was alleviated through firmware updates this year. Can anyone confirm whether this is true or not?

If it did, then it must've been unplayable before, because there was still a tonne of lag when I played it a couple of months ago.
