We are reaching the point where developers consider that if the game doesn't have online the game won't sell, and unfortunately this has become somewhat true. But really great games have sell sell without the need of online (Like Bioshock Infinite). Not every game needs online, but developers don't think that way. As a personal opinion, I really don't play online all that much. For me single player will always top online. That's why I prefer games to be either completely online focus (L4D, TF2, Dota, etc) or completely single player. |
This! I absolutely hate playing multiplayer games online. I like MMO's but I dislike multiplayer modes for console games. I still think the single player should have enough extras to justify the purchase, some really lack in extras.
