It is absolutely nothing to do with Sony. It is a 3rd party issue. Atlus have no European division and only a small US one. All their resources go into getting the US translation out of the door. Then they have tofind and negotiate European publishing/distribution with a company that does operate in Europe. This is what adds the "delay" that ignorant, entitled "wah were being screwed over" gamers think is just a company making them wait for the sake of it.

The reason that 3DS one isn't the same is because Ni tendo are the Western Publisher and Nintendo are having to pick up a lot of these Japanese titles themselves in the West just to get them released at all.

This is why I'll wait a few months for Dragons Crown too because its better late than never and if they make money on it future games will also get UK releases and maybe even Atlus will be able to think about setting up a European arm so we can have games more quickly.

This is the downside of the current main Vita games. They're by Japan only developers which is why were relying on Xseed etc to pick up the slack.

Plus Namco etc are just refusing a western release at all. (Again why Nintendo have picked up some of their games for the West)

That is kind of what i mean. Sony (SCEE) has to pick up the slack like Euro Ninty does. The rumours are that they are building up localisation teams. Hopefully thats true and its for that same purpose.

Also, these 3rd parties can always self publish on the PSN as digital only. They dont actually need to find another company for it unless they want it to be released on retail.
