Who do you think is the most recognizable video game character?

This is a silly question. It's Mario. No one else is even in the same stratosphere. He's apparently more recognizable world-wide than freaking Mickey Mouse. 

I'd put Pac-Man second, probably, but no way does he beat Super Mario.
