I was a multi system owner for the most time of my life, but I will stick to the PS4 and the PS4 only next gen. Reason is, I became a father last year and just don't have much time to play games anymore. So one console will do. I might buy an Xbox One some time later if an exclusive title comes out that I really want to have. Don't know yet. I can't see myself getting a Wii U, I'm good with my 3DS when it comes to Nintendo games.

Why PS4? Because although I own multiple systems, I like Sony consoles the most. I think the controller is almost perfect (and I'm still pissed I can't use DS3 on PS4...) and the console itself also is just quality hardware. I bought the PS3 in 2008 and it still runs perfectly fine. My Wii had to be replaced one time, it had some funny graphic bugs, like if the GPU was overheating. But they didn't tell me if that was in fact the problem. Do I need to talk about 360 failures? I had 6 since 2007 and it really pisses me off if a system dies so many times. Bei it RROD or E74, I had them all. Scratched discs also. And on top of that, that console is just really really LOUD and comes with this external power brick. If I compare that to the sexy and quiet PS3, I simply can't deny the fact that Sony makes some quality hardware. I'm not saying Microsofts hardware sucks balls (even though early 360s like mine did) but Sonys hardware is just on another level. Now, we don't know if that might change with next-gen, but based on experience, I'm pretty sure Sony will buy one hell of a console.

Last but not least, since I'm going only fpr one platform for the first time since N64, I have to worry about first party titles. This is where Sony also delivers much more in my personal opinion. The PS3 gets high quality exclusives until this very day and will continue to do so even if PS4 comes out. That is what I call long term support. The 360 has has kind of a drought and the Wii is just dead.

About fanboys: You can't be completely neutral. Every person just prefers some system for whatever reasons and that will automatically lead to seeing what other systems lack of. The point is, you have to respect if people prefer something else than you do. But I also think it is completely legal to talk about differences of consoles, as long as nobody gets insulted or anything like that. Oh, and jokes have to be allowed. Some are just too good. Also, people have to grow up a little. We're talking about consoles nobody is attacking you personally. Just stay cool. If it's the personal opinion of someone that console xyz sucks big time, that is perfectly fine. That's the thing with opinions, everyone can have their very own.

So, in the end, I just don't see why people get so heated up about console wars. I know the analogy has benn brought up quite a lot, but it's just like with sports. You just have your favourite team and every other team looks poor to you. You talk about it, you make arguments and whatnot. And I think that's fine. We also have our results which are the sales. If your team has high sales, you party hard, while fans of other teams will come in your thread and tell you why it isn't important or why it was a luck shot at best. Just deal with it, it's fine.

You have some great points and I agree with and respect what you have to say. We all gamers need to stop personally attacking each other. Just like the NFL, MLB, or NBA you should rep your team if you choose so,but please uplift the industry because without it in my opinion we lose some of the best entertainment in the world.
